The Northrop XB-35/YB-35 Flying Wing were experimental heavy bomber aircraft developed by the Northrop Corporation for the United States Air Force, meant to strike Japan from West Coast bases (similar to Japan's own Nakajima G10N project). Only prototypes were built that led to the jet-powered Northrop YB-49, but were shelved in favor of Convair's B-36.
