A portable audio player built by Sony in the 70s that was a small hand radio that played music. Updated versions in the 80s also came with a built-in cassette tape player.

This tag applies strictly to the original Walkman product line. For Sony's more recent digital media players also sold under the Walkman brand, see Digital Walkman, while for the more recent cellphones under the Walkman brand, please only use the Sony tag.
