the hunger games

A trilogy of sci-fi novels by Suzanne Collins. The series is set in the dystopian future country Panem (located in North America and encompassing the territories of the real-life countries Canada, the USA and Mexico), where 12 districts must send 2 tributes (one male and one female) to the titular Hunger Games, a yearly battle royale to the death.

The books were adapted into live action films released from 2012 to 2015.
