Sonic Unleashed (known as Sonic World Adventure in Japan) is a 2008 action-adventure platformer game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega for the Wii, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

The game follows Sonic the Hedgehog as he attempts to restore the world to normal after his nemesis, Dr. Eggman, splits the world's continents into pieces with a powerful new ray weapon and the power of the Chaos Emeralds to harness the power of Dark Gaia, as well as his struggles with his new beast form generated by Dark Gaia's energies, Sonic the Werehog. With Chip's help, Sonic must travel around the globe to both return to his normal form and stop Dr. Eggman from breaking up the world.
