shanks (one piece)
a.k.a "Red-Haired Shanks"
A character of One Piece. Captain of the "Red-hair Pirates", he used to be a crew member of "Pirate King" Gol D. Roger. He was the one who gave Luffy his signature straw hat after he lost his left arm in a fight against a Sea King to protect young Luffy.
He's later revealed to be one of the "Four Emperors", world's four greatest pirates, along with "Whitebeard" Edward Newgate, "Big Mom" Charlotte Linlin and "Kaidou of the Beasts".
The original owner of the straw hat is his former captain, Gol D. Roger.
