RGZ-95 ReZEL

A high-performance transformable Mobile Suit fielded by the Earth Federation Space Forces. By utilizing the AEUG Methuss's simplified transformation mechanism as a base, and integrating it with lessons learned from the Z II Gundam and the Zeta Plus series of MS as well as increasing parts commonality with the tried and proven Jegan made the ReZEL (short for Refined Zeta Escort Leader) both highly competent and cheap enough to enter mass production.

The type was effective in combat, and served as both a booster for the Jegans, who could grab onto ReZELs and fly with them to save fuel, and as a very powerful MS on its own, with a new design beam rifle that emulated the Zeta Gundam's (even able to generate a beam saber blade) and options of additional armament via the Defenser backpacks.

The uprated ReZEL Commander Type, distingushable from the rank and file ReZELs by its visor and sensors (red in the base model, green in the Commander Types) further pushed the already formidable performance of the unit. It was the EFF's first mass produced, widely operated transformable MS.
