oracle (ancient greece)
In the ancient Greek culture an Oracle was a holy person who became drugged by inhaling the fumes from sacred caves or rock formations, or by smoking and consuming ritual herbs, mushrooms or other natural drugs.
This state supposedly enabled these people to communicate with the Gods and to see events in the far distant future.
