1990 anime series produced by Ashi Productions and made up of 38 episodes. The plot revolves around a boy named Baba Lamune who is sucked into a video game world and becomes a hero. It was followed by a sequel series, VS Knight Lamune & 40 Fire, as well as three OVAs: NG Knight Lamune & 40 EX, NG Knight Lamune & 40 DX and VS Knight Lamune & 40 Fresh. Most names in the series are derived from drinks, such as ramune.
