Planet Metnal is an ancient, very dark and sinister looking planet located in the far reaches of the universe. It is home to the Metnal people, an evil militaristic culture who promoted war and conflict through the cosmos.

It is the home planet of the evil emperor Asura. The emblem of the Metnal people is a red inverted triangle symbol.

In real life the name "Metnal" was used by the Mayans to refer to the ninth level of hell, which was considered the most sinister of them all.
