java (programming language)

Java is an object-oriented, (usually) interpreted programming language renowned for it's portability, being used on almost anything with a CPU. It has a very iconic logo consisting of a stylized coffee mug, being named after Java coffee.

While it had been used in the web in the late 1990's, it's usage waned because of being perceived as slow and insecure.

It's the main programming language used for applications for Android.
