Fjalar is one of the Twelve Crusaders who liberated Jugdral from the tyranny of Emperor Gair and the Loptrian Church. She wields the holy fire tome Valflame, which has since been passed down to her descendants. After the Miracle of Dahna, where she is presumed to have entered a blood-bond with a Fire Dragon named Salamander, and the fall of the Loptrian Empire, she founded House Velthomer in the northeastern lands of the Kingdom of Grannvale, neighboring the Kingdom of Isaach.
