MSN-001 Delta Gundam

A state-of-the-art (at the time) prototype transformable mobile suit from the Zeta Gundam era in the Universal Century. Has anti-beam coating and atmospheric flight capability. However, due to its transformation placing too much stress on the frame, it remained a prototype and simulator data -- what was supposed to be the Delta was later repurposed into a high-performance Mobile Suit -- the Hyaku Shiki.

The concept of the Delta was later revisited after advances in mobile suit design made it feasible, resulting in the limited-run Delta Plus and Fin Funnel testbed Delta Gundam Kai.

In a nod to its repurposing, the simulation of the Delta Gundam is based on the piloting data of Quattro Bajeena, the pilot of the aforementioned Hyaku Shiki.
