U.N. Spacy officer Bruno J. Global is the acting Captain of the SDF-1 Macross military spacecraft. He is of Italian ethnicity and very skilled in ship-to-ship space combat strategy. His previous command was in an Oberth Class U.N. Spacy space destroyer.
His name was changed to Henry J. Gloval (a diminutive of Glovalsky) and his ethnicity to Russian in the ROBOTECH American adaptation.
The character design of Captain Nemo from Fushigi No Umi No Nadia was inspired by Global.
