akizuki (jmsdf)
Refers to the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyer DD-115. Not to be confused with the Imperial Japanese Navy destroyer namesake.
The lead ship/name ship of her class of four destroyers in the JMSDF originally designed as anti-air escorts of the Kongou/Atago-class AEGIS guided missile destroyers (similar to the mission of the original 1941 Akizukis), she was launched on 13 October 2010 and commissioned on 14 March 2012.
